FYP Faculty & Staff Book Club

FYP is hosting a virtual book club to read and discuss Rethinking Student Transitions: How Community, Participation, and Becoming Can Help Higher Education Deliver on its Promise by Bryce D. Bunting and Dallin George Young. Each meeting will be led by FYP staff and consist of structured discussion of the theoretical arguments made by the authors as well as the practical implications for students and for us as practitioners. This group will meet four times throughout the Spring 2025 semester, leading up to a visit from the authors on May 13th and at the Annual Conference for First Year Innovation on May 14th.

The group is open to all staff and faculty on all campuses. Books will be provided to all participants. Meeting dates forthcoming.
